QCon 2007 and Erik Meijer Coming to San Francisco November 7 - 9

InfoQ's QCon San Francisco conference will feature 72 technical sessions on November 7-9, 2007 and 2 days of pre-conference tutorials (November 5-6, 2007).

Erik Meijer, "Creator of LINQ" is one of the featured speakers, as expected. Erik first exposed LINQ 2.0 at the inaugural QCon conference in London on March 15, 2007. "LINQ 2.0" in Early Returns from QCon 2007, London was my first post about LINQ 2.0.

Since QCon London, Erik has been traveling the globe promoting LINQ 1.0 and 2.0, and describing his approach to "Democratizing the Cloud." Erik Meijer and LINQ 2.0 - Round 2 covers Erik's LINQ-related presentations through mid-June 2007.

The conference features other industry luminaries, such as Martin Fowler of refactoring (Refactoring: Improving the Design of Existing Code) and analysis patterns (Patterns of Enterprise Application Architecture) fame, and Eric Evans of Domain Driven Design. It's a shame that Jimmy Nilsson (Applying Domain-Driven Design and Patterns) isn't on the speaker's roster.

The conference will be held at the Westin San Francisco Market Street hotel, which is the former Argent Hotel refurbished.

P.S. Is Erik contributing to the confusion about the "Cloud" that Dare Obasanjo seeks to quell with today's What is a "Cloud OS"? post?
